WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SAP EWM PLANNER TO LEAD OUR WAREHOUSE WAVE OPERATIONS AT GILMOURS CENTRAL

As a future-focused member of our team, you will be pivotal in managing wave planning functions that support the picking, packing and replenishment processes within our SAP EWM system.
We are looking for a SAP EWM Planner to help us deliver on our promise to be the most trusted foodservice provider in NZ.

The Role;

  • Coordinate and lead warehouse operations through SAP EWM wave management.
  • Allocate consistent and efficient workloads to picking, replenishment, and packing teams.
  • Run wave simulations, resolve blocks and release operational waves in line with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with Team Leaders across departments to ensure seamless product movement from warehouse to dispatch.
  • Take initiative on the floor to problem-solve operational challenges as they arise.
  • Train and upskill team members as processes evolve, building capability across the team.
  • Play a hands-on role in ensuring daily KPIs around productivity, labour, and service levels are met.

  • Hourly rate starting at $27-$33.

What are we looking for;

  • Previous experience in a Foodservice or grocery warehousing role.
  • Proven leadership skills – you’ll be supporting and developing your team daily.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate across departments.
  • An advanced level of IT and computing experience or qualification. Experience with SAP is beneficial.
  • A process-driven mindset with high attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Problem-solving ability with the composure to work under pressure.
  • Someone who is proactive, curious, and committed to driving results.
  • 40 -45 hours per week. Wednesday to Sunday 8am to 5:30pm.

Tasks involved;

  • Manage the SAP EWM wave planning and execution process.
  • Proactively monitor and resolve out-of-stock (OoS) situations and substitutions.
  • Liaise with other department leaders to coordinate resource allocation and transitions between functions.
  • Upskill team members and support development of cross-functional capabilities.
  • Provide accurate reporting to support productivity and service level achievement.
  • Ensure safety, accuracy, and efficiency remain top priorities in all planning decisions.
  • Support the Operations Managers with performance management and development of direct reports.
