Description

We are looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant with strong expertise in FI-AA (Asset Accounting) and CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management). The assignment is with a pharmaceutical end client and focuses on analyzing processes, running fit–gap workshops, defining design decisions, and supporting implementation and optimization of existing SAP processes. Contract-to-Asset / CapEx Integration: Link investment/procurement contracts managed in CLM to FI-AA. Goal: automated asset capitalization from contract data with an end-to-end audit trail (“Contract → Asset → Accounting”). Compliance & Traceability in Pharma: Ensure complete traceability between contracts, projects, and capitalized assets (GxP, SOX, potentially FDA). Possible IFRS 16 Angle: When relevant, leverage CLM lease data for FI-AA Right-of-Use assets (likely a secondary topic). Short Timeframe (~4 months): Well-scoped work package such as process analysis/design, testing support, or rollout preparation. Analysis & Fit–Gap: Elicit current processes across FI-AA/CLM; prepare and facilitate fit–gap and design workshops with business and IT. Process & Solution Design: Define end-to-end Contract-to-Asset processes; document and align design decisions. Concepts & Documentation: Produce functional concepts; map contract objects to asset objects with compliant evidence trails. Implementation Support: Guide FI-AA customizing/parametrization; support integration/UAT testing and defect triage. Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with Finance/Controlling, Procurement/Legal, Compliance/QA, and the SAP technical team. Knowledge Transfer: Prepare handover materials and operational/process documentation. Several years of hands-on experience in SAP FI-AA (process design, customizing, FI/CO integration). - must-have Practical exposure to CLM (SAP CLM or OpenText CLM) including contract data structures and approval/change processes. - must-have Strong fit–gap and process modeling skills (e.g., BPMN) with the ability to drive solid design decisions. - must-have Experience in regulated industries, ideally Pharma/Life Sciences (compliance/traceability). - must-have Excellent communication and workshop facilitation; confident stakeholder management. - must-have Fluent English (spoken/written); German is an advantage. - must-have Knowledge of IFRS 16 (Right-of-Use assets) and its SAP realization. - nice-to-have Experience with CapEx workflows, investment approvals, procurement, and asset activation. - nice-to-have Familiarity with GxP/SOX/FDA-compliant documentation and validation requirements. - nice-to-have Technical understanding of integrations (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, MM, CO, OpenText). - nice-to-have
