WHAT YOU BRING

We are looking for graduates and candidates with up to 5 years of work experience, ideally as a software developer with a strong cloud mindset.

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field with excellent grades.
• Profound programming knowledge, ideally with practical experience in Python or Go.
• Expertise with front-end programming is a plus.
• Experience in cloud computing and container technologies such as Kubernetes. Experience with Argo workflow is a plus.
• English on business level (B2) is required. German is a plus.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The mission of the SAP HANA Delivery team is to deliver innovations and corrections for SAP HANA Cloud to customers in quality and in time. We develop and maintain a fully automated software deployment pipeline that encompasses build, test, and deployment of SAP HANA Cloud. We deal with the scale and complexity of SAP HANA Cloud, one of the largest software projects in industry with millions of lines of code and contributions from hundreds of developers, used in business-critical scenarios.
Among delivering SAP HANA Cloud, our responsibilities include creating test, release, and upgrade strategies, refining quality and compliance concepts, and developing tools that enable us to execute our tasks at scale. We collaborate with various teams across the globe, including SAP HANA program management, development, technical support, and many internal stakeholders who build applications for SAP HANA Cloud.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the cloud-related tools we use to manage the software delivery and quality of HANA Cloud. Specifically, you will align, plan, implement, and ensure the quality of new features and bug fixes for our tool landscape. The role requires coordination with stakeholders and peer teams, but the focus is on the design and implementation part of software engineering.
Fully paid on-call duty at weekends up to 4 times per year can be required depending on the practical needs of the cloud solutions.
