JOB DESCRIPTION:

SAPNS2 is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed professional to fill the role of Senior Functional Consultant in Chantilly, VA. The ideal candidate works well with a team and has the desire and aptitude to learn new software, cloud applications and information technology concepts. This role is part of a broader team implementing and maintaining SAP solutions. As a functional consultant you will work closely with customer end users and developers to translate current processes into requirements for configuration and development of new functionality

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for new software applications
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance
  • Serve as a liaison between technical team and the stakeholders
  • Designing and developing new functions or improving existing ones
  • Gather and analyze requirements to design or enhance new processes to improve user experience.
  • Interface with senior leadership for guidance on information strategy, vision, and priorities
  • Create documentation such as requirements specifications, test scripts, user guides, and help files.
  • Perform quality assurance testing of new software releases to ensure that they meet stated requirements.
  • Provide technical support to end users and helping them troubleshoot issues with software applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience, 3-5 years, working as part of a team as a consultant
  • Prior experience with enterprise software or cloud applications, e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, Google
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written

Education:
Required undergraduate university degree, or equivalent training and job experience
