Description

Our client, based in Budapest, has launched an S/4HANA program. To drive the project forward, we are looking for a Senior SAP Project Manager. Framework Conditions: Start: January 2026 Location: Budapest (hybrid) Duration: 3 months+ (extension possible, 2 years) Workload: Full-time Language skills: Fluent in English and Hungarian Contract type: Freelance Additional Note: Kindly be informed that our customer is located in Hungary. Therefore, only applications from candidates fluent in Hungarian and based in Hungary will be considered. Tasks Defining tasks within individual project streams and coordinating them professionally with internal and external partners (including development, migration, testing, integration, and cutover) Coordinating deliverables from external partners (system integrators and legacy vendors), including reviewing deliverables Resource planning and coordination of internal team members’ involvement in the project Preparing regular status reports and reporting to senior management Managing escalations, keeping Program Management informed, and providing input for further escalations Preparing presentations for internal and external stakeholders Requirements At least 10 years of professional experience in SAP project environments in roles such as project lead or system integrator (ECC, S/4, or BW) Proven experience in the following areas: business impact analysis, system analysis, testing, migration, cutover Functional knowledge of SAP modules (e.g. FI, MM, SD, etc.) Strong understanding of process mapping in an SAP environment Fluent English, suitable for professional and client-facing communication

Responsibilities

The SAP Project Lead will define tasks within project streams and coordinate with internal and external partners. They will also prepare status reports and manage escalations while ensuring deliverables from external partners are met.
