JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale SAP implementations and upgrades in the Public Sector . The ideal candidate will have a solid track record of managing end-to-end SAP projects within government or public sector environments, ensuring successful delivery while aligning with compliance, regulatory, and procurement requirements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 10–15 years of experience in IT project management , with at least 5 years in managing full lifecycle SAP projects .
  • Demonstrated experience delivering SAP projects in public sector environments (e.g., government, municipal, defense, utilities, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of SAP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, HR, PM, PS, or S/4HANA).
  • Experience with public sector budgeting, procurement procedures, compliance mandates, and reporting requirements.
  • Strong understanding of project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • PMP®, PRINCE2®, or equivalent project management certification.
  • SAP Certified Project Manager or module-specific certifications.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA migrations or greenfield implementations in the public sector.
  • Knowledge of local or national government IT frameworks, financial regulations, and ERP governance.
  • Master’s degree in IT, Project Management, or Public Administration is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP projects (ECC, S/4HANA, or other modules) in alignment with public sector objectives and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with government stakeholders, functional and technical teams, SAP consultants, and third-party vendors.
  • Develop detailed project plans, define scope, allocate resources, track milestones, and manage budgets and risks.
  • Ensure adherence to public sector procurement regulations , IT policies, and compliance frameworks.
  • Drive stakeholder alignment across departments, agencies, and business units to ensure unified project vision and outcomes.
  • Oversee project governance, including steering committee meetings, progress reporting, risk escalations, and issue resolutions.
  • Monitor and ensure timely execution of key project deliverables such as blueprinting, data migration, testing, user training, and go-live activities.
  • Support change management, including communication plans, end-user training, and adoption strategies.
  • Ensure SAP solution quality, performance, and alignment with long-term digital transformation goals.
  • Manage post-implementation support and ensure knowledge transfer and documentation are completed.
