FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are focused as a technical company that understands the functional side of SAP, so are welcoming of people with experience in both SAP functional and SAP technical roles. We will educate these people to become a master of both. Our PMO will have the option to learn these aspects of SAP, but will be focused on learning both our PM methodology (ELK) and industry standard ones (Activate, Prince2, Scrum, etc.) to deliver projects across multiple geographies for the range of specialised projects we offer.
For this role we seek a professional capable of (i) at least one PM methdology, (ii) comfort speaking to senior IT leaders about projects and change control and (iii) experience of working a minimum of five (5) SAP Project lifecycles.
We’ll ask this position to work across at least 2-6 live projects at any one time depending on the nature of the projects. Projects range from a couple of weeks to several months. Some complex SLO/transformation projects may last a year or slightly longer.

For this specific role it is mandatory to meet these requirements:

  • 5+ years working in a project manager’s role, preferably within the IT industry.
  • Experience working in an agile/PRINCE2 project environment delivering solutions/software/products.
  • Must be able work on multiples projects at once, while balancing other PMO related tasks.
  • Need to be able to pick up a new agile project management methodology (ELK) quickly and with limited one-to-one training.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and with limited to zero management supervision over long periods
  • A “quality first approach” with a good eye for detail and an appetite for documenting work
  • Ability to present effectively to customers using PowerPoint at a moment’s notice
  • History of delivering small to medium-sized projects

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Previous experience working with data or in a data management-related role/position
  • Roles & Responsibilities
  • Accountable for the delivery of projects from ‘sales to project team handover’ through to ‘project-close’.
  • Acting as a mentor to junior members of the PMO.
  • Working in a customer-facing environment with clients in multiple industries and in multiple locations.
  • Cover all administrative duties on projects to free up consultants’ time to concentrate on technical tasks.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, Identity project risks, develop risk registers and produce RACI models
  • Accountable for delivery of documentation to customers e.g project plans, blueprints, implementation documents, summary documents.
  • Assisting with the final development of our own agile project management methodology (ELK) – acting as an ‘approver’.
  • Experience working with or exposure to any of EPI-USE Labs’ software portfolio
  • Multi-lingual
  • BA Degree/Hons/MSc/MBA qualified in any discipline
  • SAP experience within any SAP discipline e.g Basis, HCM, MM, PP, SD, FI, ABAP
  • Recognised project management certification e.g PRINCE2®, AgilePM®, PMP, MSP, PMI, PMQ
  • SAP Certified Associate – SAP Activate PM qualification or any other SAP certificates
  • Project management memberships/associations e.g. Association for Project Management (APM)
  • Conflict management training
  • Flexibility to travel globally ad-hoc
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office e.g Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Attending user-groups promoting EPI-USE Labs’ PMO services.
  • Building relationships with key client stakeholders.
  • Expected 5-10% travel to customers, although this may increase. Travel might result in being away from home Monday-Fri for periods of time.
  • Hybrid or remote working will be considered for the right candidate; attendance to offices at least quarterly will be required along with attendance to any group events you are invited toThe role will be a permanent role. Rather than implementing a traditional corporate social responsibility program and simply donating funds to charities, with ‘Beyond Corporate Purpose’ we operate a professionalized, institutional non-profit delivery capability, the primary focus of which is the protection and conservation of Elephants and Rhinos in the wild, through an unusual strategy based on the economic upliftment of impoverished rural People in areas adjacent to the threatened species, or another definition of ‘ERP’, if you will.
