Responsibilities

ROLE PURPOSE

The Product Delivery Lead is responsible for leading product development initiatives on our SAP S/4HANA platform and associated applications, managing end-to-end product lifecycles, and ensuring that all products and tools support business objectives, regulatory requirements, and user needs. This person will collaborate closely with the relevant functional area stakeholders, technology partners, and senior management to develop, improve, and expand products and processes that enhance business efficiency, compliance, and revenue growth.
Scope: The role might require travel within South Africa and some travel abroad.
Reporting to: Director Enterprise Applications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the applicable functional area that aligns with business goals and delivers value and growth.
  • Oversee the formulation and prioritization of product initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities and informed by commercial, financial, and operational analysis, market trends, value realization, and input from stakeholders.
  • Act as the owner of the Global Template for the applicable functional area(s), maintaining the highest standards in the design and delivery of new demand and capabilities.
  • Oversee the functional design and delivery of all Enhancements, Projects, Programmes and Support for the respective domain area.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business functions, technology, operations, and executive teams to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle: ideation, design, development, testing, launch, adoption, and support.
  • Ensure that product roadmaps and initiatives are aligned with company budgets and strategies, prioritising high-value outcomes.
  • Establish and monitor key product and business metrics to identify improvement areas and support data-informed decision-making.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business analysts, functional experts, and other relevant team members.
  • Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
