JOB DESCRIPTION:
The SAP S/4HANA Federal Financials Lead is a Key Personnel role supporting a Financial Systems Modernization (FSM) program, which is transitioning multiple components from legacy financial systems to a unified SAP S/4HANA environment. The LFM provides expert-level leadership in analyzing, validating, and cleansing financial, procurement, and asset data, ensuring business rule alignment, audit readiness, and functional data integrity across all phases of migration. This role is functionally embedded within the FSM Data Management Team and supports collaboration with stakeholders, the Joint Program Management Office (JPMO), and the System Integrator.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certifications: Must possess either:
- Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), or
- Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 10 years of federal financial management experience involving data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and cleansing.
- Minimum 6 years of SAP federal financial implementation experience, including at least 2 years working with SAP S/4HANA modules: MM, FI, CO, PS, SD, and BW.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with ETL processes and data conversions in large-scale ERP environments.
- Minimum 5 years of federal financial business process analysis, with demonstrated experience mapping legacy systems to modern ERP frameworks.
SKILLS:
- Deep understanding of federal financial and procurement standards (FAR, TFM, OMB Circulars, etc.).
- Experience with SQL-based data validation and reporting tools.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with government stakeholders and technical teams.
- Familiarity with Informatica, PowerBI, or other data profiling and reconciliation tools is preferred.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and meet residency requirements (3 of the last 5 years in the U.S.).
- Must be able to obtain a favorable Public Trust Fitness Determination.
- Must be available during normal business hours (9am–5pm ET) and for ad hoc support at designated federal facilities when required.
- Ability to work in agile environments using JIRA, SharePoint, and collaboration tools.
