Description
SecurityBridge is a fast-growing global software leader transforming how enterprises secure their SAP environments. Our mission is to deliver cutting-edge, high-impact SAP security solutions that enable some of the world’s largest organizations to stay ahead of ever-evolving cyber threats. We are looking for an experienced SAP Security Product Researcher to join our team and drive the innovation of our security platform. In this role, you will research emerging threats, technologies, and attack vectors in SAP environments and translate these insights into scalable product features. You will play a key role in shaping how our platform detects, prevents, and monitors security risks across global SAP landscapes. This is a senior, autonomous role where you will define research priorities, contribute to product strategy, and act as a trusted advisor to product and development teams. This is not a penetration testing or vulnerability research role. Instead, the focus is on identifying relevant security risks and translating them into practical, customer-oriented product capabilities. Key Responsibilities * Research emerging security threats, technologies, and trends (e.g., cloud-native risks, network-level attacks, cryptography) and assess their relevance for SAP environments. * Translate research insights into functional designs and specifications for new product features, including detection mechanisms, compliance checks, and scanning capabilities. * Leverage your SAP Basis expertise to ensure features align with real-world SAP system architectures and operational practices. * Analyze SAP technologies and attack surfaces (e.g., S/4HANA, BTP, RFC, ICM, gateway, message server) and define how they should be addressed within the platform. * Design features from a customer perspective, ensuring they are practical, actionable, and easy to deploy and operate. * Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure technical feasibility, architectural alignment, and clear documentation. * Stay up to date with SAP security notes, advisories, and industry developments to inform product direction. * Work with product and security teams to prioritize features based on customer risk, impact, and market demand. * Contribute to the long-term product vision by identifying strategic security themes and translating them into a structured research agenda. Required Qualifications * Strong professional experience in SAP Basis administration, including installation, configuration, and operation of SAP systems in complex landscapes. * Deep understanding of SAP system architecture, including landscape design, communication flows, trust relationships, and integration patterns. * Solid knowledge of SAP security concepts, including common attack vectors, system hardening, and security note management. * Hands-on familiarity with SAP infrastructure components such as RFC, ICM, message server, gateway, and dispatcher. * Ability to translate complex technical and security topics into structured, clear functional designs. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess risk and prioritize effectively. * Professional communication skills in English. * Highly self-driven and autonomous, with the ability to define priorities and execute independently. Nice to Have * Experience with SAP BTP architecture (e.g., Cloud Foundry, connectivity services). * Working knowledge of ABAP, with the ability to understand code at a functional level. * Knowledge of network security concepts such as protocol analysis, intrusion detection, or port scanning. * Experience with SAP security tooling, GRC, or solution management. * Familiarity with cryptography concepts and their implications for SAP (e.g., SNC, TLS, SSO). * Experience in product feature design, specification writing, or similar roles. Important Information * This position is fully remote. * Visa sponsorship and relocation support are not available. * Candidates must hold valid authorization to work in their country of residence. Our Offer * A senior role at the core of SAP security innovation, with direct influence on product direction and feature development. * The opportunity to design capabilities that protect global enterprises from real-world cyber threats. * Collaboration with a highly experienced team at the forefront of SAP security. * A flexible, location-independent working environment with a strong focus on outcomes and ownership. * Opportunities for professional growth in a fast-evolving cybersecurity domain. What Makes It Special to Work With Us Flat hierarchies await you at our company. If you have a good idea or knowledge, feel free to contribute your perspective is valued from day one. We trust our people to organize their work in a way that suits them best, focusing on outcomes rather than physical presence. Honesty, respect, helpfulness, and integrity form the core of our company culture. We believe strong teams are the foundation of sustainable success and strive to create an environment where employees feel supported, connected, and empowered to grow.
