OVERALL ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION:

The candidate will monitor and manage security programs and operations supported by and providing status reports and recommendations for decisions. Provide agency level technical expertise concerning the identified security disciplines and operations support. Monitor security applications through the review and analysis of appropriate metrics and maintain required records. Update and maintain appropriate records (e.g. database and hardcopy) of security actions. Interpret security policy on matters pertaining to processing, dissemination, and controlling of classified materials. Act as liaison between NGA and other federal agencies and contractors. Risk management – conduct surveys and render impact statements or recommendations. Prepare and deliver briefings to internal and external customers; prepare various forms of correspondence. Apply experience in supporting security concepts, principles and practices to analyze and resolve difficult and complex security issues. Provide security guidance to contractors using DoD and IC regulations and requirements – analyze complex data and make appropriate program recommendations. Investigate and prepare impact statements and provide recommendations on security/security violations. Prepare SCI Controlled Access Programs (CAP), Special Access Programs (SAP), Alternative Compensatory Control Measures (ACCM) and other collateral materials for shipment to other agencies/sites IAW applicable security handling procedures. Obtain Access to SAP, CAP and/or ACCM Information as required for the execution of NGA’s sensitive program mission.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum of 7 years of relevant functional experience, including more than 3 years within DoD/IC
· Bachelors or additional 8 years of related experience
· Significant experience in a distinct functional or cross-functional security areas (e.g., personnel, physical, industrial security; computer investigations; classification management; operational security; security education, etc.)
· Experience may be broad based, crossing multiple markets (e.g., government, industry) and may also include relevant and associated certifications and knowledge of applicable tools, methodologies, or best practices.
· Experience directing the activities of security specialists as necessary on activities related to the specified field or discipline.
· Must obtain DoD Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification IAW DoD Manual 3305.13M within 1 year of service start date.
· Experience working in a fast-paced team environment, and have strong written and verbal communication skills
· Program Security Officer experience in addition to SAP processing dealing with SIC/JADE account look ups and creations. Knowledge of submitting the accesses for SAPs, maintain SAP training, records etc. In addition to other personnel security responsibilities, i.e. experience with indoctrinations, access management, and IC policy and directives.
· 7-10 years includes >3 years within DoD/IC and experience must include >2 years of SMS and CAC.
· Bachelors or equivalent experience in a related field
Salary: $110k-$120k
