ABOUT THE SAP INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE PROGRAM

The SAP Internship Experience Program is SAP’s global, strategic, paid internship program that provides university students with opportunities to find purpose in their careers.

WHO YOU ARE:

You are a student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences. We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stays curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

• Currently enrolled in a university program, preferably in a field related to Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical disciplines
• Strong proficiency in English; German language skills are a plus but not mandatory
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Must-Have Qualifications

• Solid foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS
• Experience with at least one modern framework (React, Vue, Angular)
• Proficiency using AI tools in the development process (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI coding assistants)
• Demonstrated ability to quickly pick up new technologies and frameworks
• Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting abilities

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Familiarity with SAP technologies, enterprise frameworks, or large-scale applications
• Foundation in Python
• Basic understanding of AI concepts, machine learning, or working with AI APIs
• Experience building proof-of-concepts or rapid prototypes

IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:

• Work directly with senior architects on enterprise-scale technology decisions.
• Present findings to technical leadership and influence technology roadmap planning.
• Experience the full lifecycle from research to prototype to organizational implementation
• Research and evaluate emerging enterprise technologies and frameworks in frontend and AI that will shape our architecture strategy for the next 3-5 years.
• Conduct competitive analysis and create detailed comparison documents that inform major technology investment decisions.
• Build proof-of-concept prototypes to validate new technological approaches before large-scale implementation.
• Support critical migration planning for modern web technologies and frameworks, directly impacting development teams across the organization.
• Support our AI program by maintaining and enhancing infrastructure that serves internal teams across multiple business units
• Develop new AI-powered features based on business requirements, directly improving developer productivity
