Employees have access to great benefits, amenity usage, and so much more! The Server is responsible for taking guest food and beverage orders and entering if all orders into computer for transmittal to kitchen staff. This is a part- or full-time position with night and weekend availability. Essential duties and tasks of the position include but are not limited: Greet customers and introduce self. Present menus and answer questions about menu items, buffet items, making recommendations upon request. Inform customers of daily specials. Check customer identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages. Take orders for food and beverages. Write customer food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers to transfer to the kitchen staff. Serve food and beverages and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required. Do side work and prepare areas for next shift. Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems. Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters and take them to the kitchen for cleaning. Prepare checks that itemize and total all costs and collect payments from customers. Attempt to limit problems and liability related to excessive drinking by advising manager of any potential concerns or issues. Perform duties of a busser as needed.
