SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced SAS Developer to design, develop, and maintain complex SAS programs for data analysis, reporting, and ETL processes in support of business, regulatory, and data protection requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong expertise in SAS Base, SAS Macro, SAS SQL; experience with SAS EG and SAS Studio preferred.
  • Solid understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with Protegrity or similar data protection solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, test, and implement SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Create automated reports and dashboards using SAS Base, SAS Macro, and SAS SQL.
  • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Optimize SAS code for performance and scalability.
  • Integrate SAS solutions with databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, and Teradata.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data through robust validation checks.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for SAS code and processes.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and data requests from business users.
  • Troubleshoot data and process issues in SAS programs.
  • Collaborate with BI, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams for solution delivery.
  • Apply statistical techniques for data modeling and forecasting where needed.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Implement and work with data protection tools such as Protegrity for sensitive data masking, tokenization, and encryption.
  • Schedule and automate SAS jobs using enterprise scheduling tools.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for data anomalies and recommend fixes.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Manage large datasets efficiently using SAS optimization techniques.
  • Assist in migrating SAS processes to cloud or newer platforms if required.
  • Maintain version control for SAS programs and scripts.
  • Provide mentorship to junior SAS developers when required.
