As a Student Advisor, you are responsible for attracting and enrolling students into MaKami College’s list of programs. This role plays a crucial role in meeting enrollment targets and ensuring the growth and success of MaKami College. As a sales professional, you will utilize your sales skills, and a passion for education to effectively communicate the value and benefits of attending the college to prospective students.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in education or related industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport, establish trust, and connect with diverse individuals.
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation abilities.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software, MS Office, and other sales-related tools.
  • Familiarity with student enrollment processes, financial aid, and admissions procedures.
  • Knowledge of higher education programs and the college’s specific offerings.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel as required.Candidates with prior experience attending a post-secondary institution are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with prospective students through various communication channels, including in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and virtual platforms. Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand their career goals, interests, and educational requirements.
  • Utilize various sources, such as online platforms, referrals, lead databases, and networking, to generate a steady stream of prospective students interested in enrolling in the college.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the college’s programs, curriculum, facilities, admission requirements, financial aid options, and career prospects. Articulate the unique selling points and benefits of attending the college to potential students.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective students, serving as their main point of contact throughout the enrollment process. Provide personalized guidance and support, addressing their concerns, and ensuring a smooth transition into the college.
  • Guide students through the application and enrollment process, including completing application forms, gathering the necessary documentation, and assisting with financial aid applications if required. Collaborate with admissions and academic departments to ensure timely processing of applications.
  • Represent the college at recruitment events, career fairs and community organizations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all prospective student interactions, updates on enrollment progress, and sales activities. Provide regular reports to management on sales performance, conversion rates, and areas for improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor programs, and changes in educational regulations. Continuously develop knowledge and skills related to the college’s programs to effectively address student inquiries.
