Description

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Security Clearance: active TS/SCI
  • Proficiency with tools and software for data analysis and modeling of RF environments
  • Experience with commercial wireless industry, including terrestrial and satellite communications
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related applied mathematics and physics-oriented field related to RF and wireless communications
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision-making.
  • Knowledge of DoD and Federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Desired Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of current DoD Space Control systems and Earth terminals
  • Knowledge of previous Joint studies: EMBRSS, CSMAC, AWS-3, etc.
Responsibilities
  • Work side-by-side with Space Operations Command (SpOC) personnel to help identify and repurpose federal spectrum frequencies for commercial use and spectrum sharing, resulting from the ongoing National Spectrum Strategy (NSS) study
  • Analyze USSF SPS Records, ITU filings, existing Wireless FCC licenses, and proposed federal and non-federal use cases using government and international databases
  • Responsible for providing technical reviews of documents related to spectrum management (e.g., Instructions, Manuals, and Regulations, policy papers, etc.)
  • Knowledge of linking Budget and Performance calculations to include Gains/Losses/EIRP/PSD/GT/SNR/EB/NO
