L’ingénieur satellite travaille en étroite collaboration avec le reste de l’équipe des opérations, basée à Saint-Hubert, Québec, et veille à la bonne santé de la flotte de satellites. Qu’il s’agisse d’observer les particules d’ozone, d’imager des catastrophes naturelles ou de traquer des comètes, chaque mission est unique avec des besoins et des exigences de soutien différents. L’ingénieur satellite est chargé de surveiller et de maintenir la santé des missions, de mettre en œuvre des procédures de récupération en cas de contingence dans le cadre d’un horaire de garde 24/7, de maintenir les configurations matérielles et logicielles, ainsi que d’identifier des améliorations et de tenir à jour toute la documentation pertinente. Participant aux phases de lancement et d’orbite initiale (LEOP), de mise en service, de routine et de désactivation, le poste d’ingénieur satellite est un rôle exigeant qui contribue à garantir la réussite de toutes les missions. Le poste d’ingénieur satellite comprend quatre niveaux selon les qualifications et responsabilités de l’employé : Débutant, Intermédiaire, Sénior et Chef d’équipe.

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Satellite Engineer works hand-in-hand with the rest of the operations team, which is based in Saint-Hubert Quebec and ensures a healthy fleet of spacecraft. From observing ozone particulates to imaging natural disasters to hunting comets, each mission is unique with different needs and support requirements. The Satellite Engineer is relied upon to monitor and maintain mission health, implement contingency recoveries as part of a 24/7 on-call schedule, maintain hardware and software configurations, as well as identify improvements and keep relevant all documentation. Participating in the Launch and Early Orbit (LEOP) phase, Commissioning and Routine phases and the Decommissioning phase, the Satellite Engineer is a challenging position that helps ensure all mission deliverables. The SE position counts four different levels depending on employee qualifications and responsibilities: Entry, Intermediate, Senior and Lead.
QUALIFICATIONS
University Degree in Engineering preferably in one of Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science or Aerospace

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
