Satellite Test Engineer (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • Conduct Tests at unit, subsystem and satellite level using the following type of tests: Electrical interface unit tests, functional tests, subsystem test and system tests
  • Subsystems are the following: On Board Computer, Attitude and Orbit Control Systems, Propulsion, Payload, Thermal Control Systems, Power and Security Systems, TT&R
  • Constant monitoring of the satellite health
  • Writing and maintaining test procedures and hardware work instructions
  • Scripting and maintaining test sequences
  • Preparation of test reports with evaluation of test data
  • Preparation and participation to test reviews (TRR, PTR, TRB). Either internal or external with presence of the customer
  • Finding, analyzing and solving the non-conformance of the Satellite in close collaboration with subsystem’s responsible
  • Preparation of test setups: Satellite connections (Non-Flight) EGSE connections, SAAPs connections
  • Participation to Environmental test campaigns and Launch campaigns

Your Qualifications

  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in testing activities at unit, subsystem, or system level
  • Familiarity with Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and electrical measurement tools
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Tcl/Tk or Python) and CCS-based test systems is considered an advantage
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, data reports, mechanical and electrical schematics, and design specifications
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools
  • High sense of responsibility and structured, solution-oriented work approach
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • High flexibility and willingness to travel, including for launch campaigns
