PURPOSE The Sauté Cook will prepare high-quality sauté food items to order while exceeding guests’ expectations by following recipes, presentation guidelines and Vista specifications. Produce food accordingly in a timely fashion. To keep the Vista kitchen safe and ensure proper food safety and sanitation standards are upheld. ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure special guest requests are accommodated while delivering high-quality standards. Fabricating and cooking all sauté proteins to ticket temperature requests. Preparing and completing all tasks on daily station line prep lists. Ensuring product par levels are adequate for the day’s service needs. Communicating with other stations on the line to ensure proper table ticket times are met. Maintain proper cleanliness of the station. Follow proper sanitation and food rotation procedures. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: High School Diploma / GED; Recognized Equivalent of a High School Diploma (RED) or Foreign High School Diploma (FHD). Two (2) years sauté cooking in a high-volume restaurant. Any combination of education and experience that clearly demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties of the position. Skills and Abilities: Strong knowledge of meat and seafood cuts. Ability to handle and work multiple styles of proteins and stations with little or no difficulty and minimal assistance. Proven working knowledge of kitchen design and the operation of grills, roast-and-hold ovens, conventional and convection ovens, fryers, etc. Snoqualmie Casino & Hotel exercises Snoqualmie Tribal Member/Native American preference in hiring, in compliance with the Snoqualmie Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO). You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
