Description

The Saw Operator is responsible for operating various saws and cutting equipment to fabricate metal components with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities: * Operating saws and other cutting equipment to fabricate metal components according to specifications. * Performing routine maintenance on saws and related equipment to ensure optimal performance. * Utilizing hand tools and machinery such as press brake machines, lathes, plasma cutting, and laser cutting for fabrication tasks. * Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements. * Collaborating with team members to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards. * Conducting quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. * Assisting in programming machinery for automated cutting processes when necessary. * Maintaining a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety guidelines. Basic Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required. * Proficiency in operating various saws and fabrication equipment. * Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes. * Experience with hand tools, press brake machines, lathes, plasma cutting, or laser cutting. * Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Good problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude. * Commitment to workplace safety practices. Physical Demand: Medium- Must be capable of lifting up to 75lbs or more. This position requires constant standing, bending, and stooping.
