JOB DESCRIPTION

Norstar Industries Ltd. is a Manitoba-owned and Operated manufacturer located just outside Rosenort, MB. At Norstar we build conveyance equipment for the agriculture, agri-industrial and industrial markets. Norstar is also the home of the U-Drain™ floor drainage system. Our purpose is to build innovative solutions that help build and feed the world.
Norstar prides itself in providing market-leading products that are exceptional on every level. To do this, we need an exceptional team. We are now seeking dependable and experienced individuals to join our team in our Prefabrication department.
As the successful candidate, your main focus will be the efficient operation of the steel cutting Band Saw. Other responsibilities may include the transportation of steel within the factory and machine maintenance. This is all accomplished in a high paced manufacturing environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience operating different steel cutting machines is preferred
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a busy environment
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and guidance from shop leadership
• Ability to follow all safety protocols
• Physically able to lift up to 45 lbs
• Able to stand for 10 hour shifts
