Description The Saw Operator will be responsible for operating and maintaining saw equipment to cut metal materials according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Operate various types of saws (e.g., band saws, circular saws) to cut metal materials to specified dimensions. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine cutting requirements. Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using measuring tools. Inspect materials for defects and ensure quality standards are met. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of saw equipment. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed. Requirements Previous experience as a saw operator or in a similar role in a metal fabrication shop. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Strong attention to detail and precision in cutting. Knowledge of safety procedures and best practices in a fabrication environment. Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials. Good communication and teamwork skills.
