Answer basic customer questions about products, promotions, and store layout, and direct them to other staff when needed. Accuracy and workspace Balance the cash drawer at the start and end of shifts, recording discrepancies and maintaining accurate transaction records. Follow procedures for coupons, gift cards, discounts, and age-restricted items like alcohol or tobacco. Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with bags, receipt paper, and other supplies. Qualifications Skills and requirements Basic math skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with POS systems, scanners, and card terminals.
