Description

SAIC is seeking an experienced Facility Operator with proven experience in managing Tier 3 equivalent colocation data center facilities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in monitoring Facility Operations to ensure compliance with the necessary standards required for federal agencies. The role provides monitoring of 7x24x365 Data Center Facility Operations and Access Control. The position will work to support the NCCIPSv2 Contract. The National Center for Critical Information Processing and Storage (NCCIPS) is a federal shared services facility, managed by the NASA Shared Services Center (NSSC). NCCIPS provides facilities support to meet the requirements of multiple federal agency data centers and manages those relationships via Interagency Agreements. NCCIPS is a 200,000 sq. ft. secure facility situated on a 64-acre campus within NASA Stennis Space Center in southern Mississippi. This position is an on-site position located at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi. Job Description: * Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, laser/light transmission devices or specialized test equipment. * Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions. * Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. * Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data. * Prepares engineering documentation, reports, drawings, etc. SAIC® [http://www.saic.com/] is a premier Fortune 500® mission integrator focused on advancing the power of technology and innovation to serve and protect our world.
