You must be registered on the NISCC Live Register. Experience in Care of the elderly is essential. Applicants must have experience as a care assistant and possess an NVQ 3 Health and Social Care. and have a medical dispensing qualification. The successful applicant must demonstrate a clear understanding of the issues and tasks involved in the day-to-day provision of care to service users.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be supporting the care team in delivering quality personal care to each of our residents.

  • Supporting them with daily activities such as washing, dressing, eating and maintaining personal hygiene.
  • Understanding our resident’s communication needs and adapting your communication Support to the individuals and their families, offer confidence and reassurance.
  • As team player who works well with others, a natural easy communicator, patient and understanding with the flexibility to adapt to a changing environment. Good observation skills, a sense of humour and a positive outlook.
