BASIC QUALIFICATIONS :

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required.
Experience: 10 years of relevant work experience is required.
An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in supporting the OSI Monarch SCADA systems
  • Understanding of NERC CIP security principals;
  • Understanding of WAN and VPN concepts
  • Basic understanding of C programming language
  • Knowledge of Communnication Protocols (DNP3, Modbus, ICCP)
  • Understanding of Ladder Logic desired
  • Knowledge of RTU (Remote Terminal Units)

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications

  • Exhibit understanding of the SCADA system, components, and processes
  • Ability to understand interrelationships between systems and components
  • Demonstrate critical thinking, urgency, and attention to detail to support real time operations
  • OSIIMonarch SCADA System experience
  • Continuous maintenance and upgrades to the SCADA systems
  • RTU programming and troubleshooting
  • Compliance and Security of the SCADA systems
  • Troubleshooting equipment and software to repair and diagnose any malfunctions in the system
  • SCADA System Access Managemen
Responsibilities

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Support OSI-Monarch’s Power System Applications including Automatic Generation Control (AGC)
  • Supports and troubleshoots the operational SCADA environment as well as insuring optimized monitoring and system reliability reporting
  • Maintains Monarch custom DB configurations
  • Depending on ability: Able to provide on rotation, after hours (24 x 7) on-call support

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & TASKS :

Works independently. Responsibilities include one or more of the following for the largest and most complex projects:
Develops advanced solutions to resolve customer and prospective customer issues in a logical, creative and structured manner.
Align the client’s goals, needs and objectives to the solutions.
Communicate issues and status in a clear, timely manner.
Interpret specifications and build advanced solutions to those specifications.
Collaborate on the business strategy by acting as an expert of the company’s services and products, including usage, architecture, functionality and deployment.
Develop custom presentations and demonstrations for all audiences.
Generates infrastructure support documentation.
Make proposals and writes request for proposal (RFP) responses.
Evaluate and propose advanced process improvements.
Maintain expert knowledge about the company’s software/hardware products.
May provide training and mentoring, as well as work direction, to others on the team.

Essential Job Functions & Tasks :

Under limited supervision, responsibilities include one or more of the following for small and medium sized projects:

  • Meet with clients to discuss their hardware and software needs.
  • Strategize with the business unit to create customized solutions.
  • Draft and deliver presentations on targeted products.
  • Design and install customized software and hardware solutions for the customer.
  • Test the performance of the installed system and fix bugs.
  • Provide post-installation follow-ups.
  • Develop relationships and maintain customer relations.
  • Support the business unit with all technical related queries.

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $64.00 - $69.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
