QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant education within Information Technology and work experience with SCADA systems or other relevant work experience
  • Knowledge of industrial electricity and electronics
  • Experience in maintaining server operating systems
  • Experience with VMware would be beneficial
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments as needed
  • Good English skills, both verbal and written
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport
  • Experience working with wind turbines is valuable
Responsibilities

PURPOSE AND REASON FOR THE EXISTENCE OF THE JOB

Plant Technical Support NCE is a sub department of Technical Support NCE, which support the Service business in whole Northern and Central Europe with technical knowledge and acting as the link between Engineering and these local business units.
Main tasks for the department include: Providing direct support to service technicians in troubleshooting and repair tasks, remote troubleshooting in Power Plant Controllers and SCADA solutions remotely, remote software upload, creating work instructions, providing answers to technical questions from internal and external customers, and taking part in customer meetings.
Providing high quality plant technical support Service organizations in the NCE region to reduce windfarm downtime and enhance performance.
Being a part of Plant Technical Support NCE, you will be included in a high experiences team, overseeing the implementation of Vestas’ strategy, supporting the Service organizations and local business units with technical knowledge, secure customer focus and safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Remote troubleshooting on Vestas Power Plant Controllers and SCADA solutions
  • Operational support to our wind farms, both onshore and offshore
  • Participation in escalation meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • Finding solutions for new problems as they arise
  • Providing technical advice and support to the manager on complex topics
  • Collaborating in cross-department working groups to find solutions
  • Acting as a technical substitute in the event of the manager’s absence
  • Participating in a hotline setup to support our technicians on-site remotely
  • Performing weekend tasks on call
  • Working shifts between 06:00 - 18:00 CET if needed
  • Offering technical advice to our internal and external stakeholders
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced engineers in their development
  • Interacting with customers and third parties via phone, email, or ticketing system
  • Aligning with 1st and 3rd level teams to create work instructions, processes, and technical documentation
  • Ensuring knowledge transfer and contributing to the optimization and improvement of our product solutions
