Description

Roofcare are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused Scaffold Services Manager to lead our scaffolding operations, with a strong emphasis on tube and fitting systems. The post holder will be responsible for supervising scaffolding teams, driving health & safety excellence, and supporting the growth of the business through developing new work opportunities and client relationships.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISRS Advanced Scaffolder, SMSTS, or equivalent) are essential.
  • Proven experience in scaffolding management, particularly with tube and fitting systems.
  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of scaffolding safety standards and inspection protocols.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

  • Lead, motivate, and manage scaffolding teams to deliver projects to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Plan and allocate resources to meet project requirements, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and performance management for team members.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure all scaffolding works comply with relevant legislation, TG20:21, SG4, and company policies.
  • Take responsibility for safe systems of work, risk assessments, and method statements (RAMS).
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety standards across the scaffolding division.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.

Operations & Project Delivery

  • Oversee logistics, scaffolding erection, inspection, certification and dismantling across multiple projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification, and within budget.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to maintain excellent communication and service.
  • Monitor equipment, materials, and scaffold stock, ensuring compliance with company procedures.

Business Development & Growth

  • Identify and pursue new scaffolding opportunities within existing and new client bases.
  • Support the preparation of tenders, estimates, and pricing for projects that require scaffolding.
  • Develop strong client relationships to support repeat business and long-term partnerships.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure all scaffolding/access operations align with Roofcare’s ISO 9001 quality management system.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement utilising key tools such as six sigma to eliminate waste and drive better service outcomes.
  • Drive innovation and efficiency improvements in scaffolding practices.
  • Monitor KPIs and produce reports for senior management detailing safety, issues, opportunities for improvement and team development.
