JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Scaffold Builder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of scaffold construction and safety protocols, with the ability to work effectively in various environments. This role involves assembling and disassembling scaffolding structures, ensuring they are safe and compliant with regulations. The Scaffold Builder will collaborate closely with other tradespeople on-site to facilitate smooth operations.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in scaffold building or a related construction field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with using power tools, hand tools, and equipment specific to scaffold construction.
  • Knowledge of roofing techniques is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of electrical systems may be beneficial for certain projects.
  • Experience in welding or fabrication is a plus but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to plumb structures accurately.
  • A valid health and safety certification is desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and dismantle scaffolding systems according to project specifications and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of scaffolding structures to ensure stability and safety.
  • Collaborate with site managers and other tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and masons, to coordinate scaffold needs.
  • Utilise power tools and hand tools effectively for fabrication and assembly tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the training of new staff on scaffold building techniques and safety practices.
  • Perform additional duties as required, including painting or basic masonry work when necessary.
