Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from Scaffolders for regular ongoing work in our Geraldton workshop. These are full time permanent positions.
Geraldton is a coastal city in the Midwest region of Western Australia. With a beautiful Mediterranean climate and a stunning coastline, it makes for the perfect work/life balance.

DUTIES

  • Ensure achievement of maintenance goals to maximise plant and equipment availability;
  • Set up and adjust metalworking machines and equipment and operate machines to produce parts or tools;
  • Mark the shape and dimensions of a part to be machined by studying blueprints and using measuring instruments;
  • Assemble and fit machined parts using drill holes and tap threads, if necessary, for bolting parts together;
  • Manufacture, repair and fault-find hydraulic and pneumatic equipment;
  • Operate powered machines that may be manually or computer controlled;
  • Erect machinery and equipment on site as required; and inspect machinery regularly and make any adjustments or repairs as required.
    Skills and Experience:

Essential Criteria (what’s required):

  • High Risk Work Licence - SI, SA Tickets.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work well in a team in remote areas
  • Strong commitment towards safety and quality
  • Motivated and hardworking with a professional attitude
  • Company and customer focused based
  • Hold a current manual driver’s license
  • Forklift and EWP are desirable however not essential
  • Ability to pass a medical and D&A screen
