Description POSITION SUMMARY: The Scale Attendant will be responsible for weighing trucks in and out. Working with the Shipping and Receiving team to achieve the company's daily goals for inbound and outbound loads. The ideal Scale Attendant would be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word and have great communication skills. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Weighing inbound and outbound loads. Matching paperwork with incoming loads. Communicating with the shipping team to determine which dock to send drivers. Scanning documents. Talking and answering questions from sales and settlement team. Working in the inbound and outbound calendars. Greeting and communicating with drivers. Take paperwork from and give paperwork to drivers. Dusting offices, cleaning break area, sweeping, mopping, cleaning bathrooms and emptying trash Regular and timely attendance are an expectation of the position. Follow the 5S foundations for deploying lean production tools and processes. Requirements EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or equivalent Computer literacy & proficiency Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required. COMPETENCIES: Self-starter that takes initiative along with analytical skills Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills Ability to multitask and adhere to deadlines. Self-motivated individual that has the ability to work independently. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Physical Activity: Talking, hearing, repetitive motion, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, and climbing stairs Physical Requirements: Sedentary work. Involves sitting most of the time. Visual Acuity: ability to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned including to make general observations of facilities.
