Description Scale Floor Operator West Plains LLC is a part of BioUrja Group, and we are an agricultural commodity trading business specializing in warehouse operation, risk management, and transportation with a focus on creating value for the company’s producers and consumers. Our customers depend on us to provide market insight, risk management, and logistics support. We are federally licensed and bonded warehousemen that trade whole grains, feed ingredients, freight, and other commodities within North America. We are headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska and have ten locations spread across three states. The company controls nearly 20 million bushels of elevator space through ownership or lease agreements. We are looking for a Scale Floor Operator based out of our Omaha, NE facility. This position is our main artery of inbound and outbound grain flow. It also performs necessary general labor functions onsite, including but not limited to, support of grain activities, backfilling, bulking, and/or other duties as assigned. Job Responsibilities Provides general assistance with facility operations Clear and Precise communication via radio to other operators in the facility Controls the flow of inbound truck loads from truck pit to designated bins on the gallery floor. Controls the flow of outbound grain from bins to rail car. Input rail car numbers with information and ensure rail cars are loaded to designated weights and not over. Keep log of inbound, and outbound ticket numbers. Operates from an elevated position inside enclosed grain elevator head house. Performs cleaning duties such as sweeping and washing surfaces. Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager. Reliable, punctual and consistent attendance is expected. Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans when performing cleanup activities and donning protective gear. Operate routinely used tools and equipment Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment Operate load and unload equipment from vehicles, trailers and trains Job Requirements Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2 years of experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Must be able to interpret and follow written and oral instructions and assignment Grain industry experience, equipment operation and maintenance experience a plus Willing to work longer days when customer need dictates, especially during harvest season.
