Description Three D Metals is currently hiring for a NIGHT SHIFT scale operator to support the company as the shift continues to grow. Night shift hours are 7:30p-6:00a, with a half hour unpaid lunch and two ten-minute paid breaks. More details about the position are listed below. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · Reads and understands job ticket. · Understands and sets all controls, dials, and gauges. · Inspect, measure, and test material as indicated in work instructions. · Operates pallet jack and tow motor/forklift. · Enters applicable data into Company’s ERP system. · Weighs the coil. · Prints and applies tags. · Bands coil to the pallets. · Applies packaging to the product by customer specifications. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School diploma or equivalent; and 1+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1+ years of Reach truck / Tow motor experience required. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using weight measurement. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Tow Motor / Forklift certification preferred.
