Description JOB TITLE: Scanning & Receiving Clerk ORGANIZATIONAL UNIT: FireLake Discount Foods SUPERVISOR: FDF Scanning Coordinator FLSA: Non- Exempt Pay Range $12.00-$17.00 Per Hour JOB SUMMARY: The Scanning & Receiving Clerk is responsible for assisting the Scanning Coordinator in executing the mission, vision and purpose for the store. The Scanning & Receiving Clerk is responsible for maintaining overall price integrity in their assigned store. This position conducts daily, weekly, and monthly price changes, including changing shelf signs and tags, promotional signs, and bucket signs, and ensures compliance with all company and governmental compliance regulations. Maintains store appearance and product presentation to company standards. Provides support to sales associates during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Provides prompt and friendly customer service and maintains a positive work environment. Maintain adherence to all store policies and procedures, as well as tribal. Checks for any price updates, verifies, and changes as needed. Monitors sales events for accuracy in scanning and signage; maintains current knowledge of weekly ad items and ensures pricing integrity. Performs scan audits according to schedule. Maintains clean and organized scan office. Check dates of all sales price tags to determine the accuracy of prices. Verifies weekly ad and promotional price accuracy Verifies new items for price accuracy and "not on files." Promotes 100% scan accuracy program. Represents the store to sales representatives and vendors in a positive and professional manner. Works directly with vendors checking in and receiving product into inventory Ensures vendor log book is maintained properly Works with vendors and store associates to maintain cleanliness and organization of all stock and storage areas both inside and outside of store MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION: High school diploma or equivalent Must have strong analytical and organizational skills in order to analyze total scanning programs, and to properly maintain necessary reports and schedules. Strong communication skills for dealing with customers, employees, and vendors. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel Excellent mathematical skills PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires frequent lifting and carrying up to 50lbs Sitting or standing for long periods of time; Frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; Good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent repetitive motions; talking, hearing, visual acuity, and climbing ladders WORKING CONDITIONS: · Normal retail/grocery environment · Work varied hours, days, nights, weekend, and holidays ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform other duties and projects as required by management NOTE: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by an employee in this position.
