  • Knowledge of Victoria’s emergency management arrangements is desirable;
  • Understanding of the State’s Command and Control arrangements that operate within Victoria is desirable;
  • Experience with coordination within emergency management activities is desirable

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL THE ROLE DO?

Assist the operations of the State Control Centre and ensures the EMC, EMV Staff, agency staff, and liaison officers are supported in the undertaking of their rostered duties.

Key tasks include:

  • Support the implementation of the SCC operational business systems and processes
  • Ensure the effective agency communication flows to internal and external stakeholders. This involves extensive use of phone, SMS, email, internet and agency applications as appropriate
  • Provide SCC administrative support to ensure the operational functions of the SCC are in accordance with requirements and are delivered in an efficient and effective manner.
  • Arrange, prepare and assist in the delivery of briefings, reports, meetings and presentations including visual and electronic displays to a wide range of stakeholders
  • Maintain effective record keeping in accordance with each agency’s procedures and legislative requirements
