WHAT SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE SHOULD A WORKFORCE PLANNER HAVE?

As our ideal candidate, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in workforce management including resourcing, shift planning and rostering.
  • A clear ability to collaborate and coordinate with peers and stakeholders.
  • An understanding of Victoria’s emergency management arrangements.
  • Appropriate qualifications in human resources management or workforce planning is desirable.

Responsibilities

The workforce planner is responsible for collaborating with emergency management agencies and other government departments to ensure workforce capacity and availability for State Control Centre (SCC) operations.

Key tasks include:

  • Coordinate and fill the required shift plans to meet current and future needs for the SCC
  • Support workforce training and readiness activities to ensure capability needs.
