9 month fixed-term contract
Office location: Leeds (minimum 2 days per week)
Our schedule executives ensure an optimal and accurate schedule is produced and delivered to transmission - incorporating the programme strategy, break pattern, media plan and sponsorship plan. It takes a very keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills and an ability to remain calm under pressure. You’ll be at the sharp end of ensuring our viewers can watch their favourite programme when they want, be that on traditional linear channels at a specific time, or on ITVX at a time of their choosing.

Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)

  • Office-based work experience is essential
  • Ability to work accurately and at pace whilst under pressure is essential
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise a busy workload is also essential
  • Must have experience using a range of software including email, excel and word as a minimum however you will be using bespoke scheduling software so an ability to adapt to new technology will be key
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to pre-empt and proactively resolve problems
  • Experience working to tight deadlines whilst remaining calm and approachable
  • Resilience and able to adapt to changeable situations whilst remaining positive
  • Good communication skills at all levels
  • Minimum grade 4/5 in GCSE English and Math
Responsibilities
  • Entering programme schedules and changes into the scheduling system and ensuring the correct programme and version is used.
  • Working closely with our editorial teams to ensure all programme strategy aims are met.
  • Liaison with multiple relevant departments to solve potential issues (Marketing, Rights, Editorial, Compliance…).
  • Incorporating marketing and commercial elements into the linear schedules
  • Preparation of advanced information regarding live/ late programming
  • Populating and optimising the schedule according to guidelines
  • Complying the schedule to ensure we meet regulatory requirements
  • Whole schedule validation and trouble shooting to fully resolve all issues
  • Adding data that drives processes: programme and regional news sources, clean feeds, schedule rules and end dates etc.
  • Delivering complete and accurate schedules by deadlines
  • Managing and delivering of Contingency and Standby Schedules
  • Attending meetings relating to the planning of schedules, transmission or other relevant discussions.
  • Providing operational solutions to strategic requests

  • Experience in a post production / broadcast environment is advantageous
  • A genuine interest in content and broadcasting is advantageous.
