  Scheduler – 1st Shift – Salina, KS     Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking a 1st Shift Scheduler to join our team at our facility in Salina, KS.  In this role, you will develop and analyze lists of items required to manufacture products and relay scheduling information to the production team.    This works Monday through Thursday from 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with overtime on Fridays, as required.        Primary Duties and Responsibilities:  * Follow production build schedule * Expedite components and part shortages daily  * Review, evaluate and open work orders daily * Review Engineering releases & notices and initiate corrective action when needed * Evaluate MRP reschedule notices and initiate corrective action when needed * Help maintain accurate inventory in Fabrication & Warehouse locations * Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment * Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment Preferred Skills and Qualifications:  * AS400 experience is required  * Proficient in Microsoft Excel * Must have strong verbal and written communication skills  * Willing to take on new challenges and meet strict deadlines  * Able to work in a fast-paced environment * Attention to detail, accuracy, and neatness is a must * Willing to be part of a team and process improvement environment
