Description

The Scheduling Coordinator role is in the home healthcare industry overseeing the scheduling of caregivers and ensuring compliance with agency and state regulations. This role fosters a high level of patient satisfaction, customer service and complaint resolutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the scheduling process to ensure caregivers are matched with clients based on their skills and client needs
  • Collaborate with the client and their families to schedule replacement caregivers as needed
  • Work closely with the Director of Case Management to ensure continuity of care during emergencies and manage caregiver assignments
  • Play a crucial role in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery
  • Maintain open communication with clients and their families to address any scheduling concerns or changes
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure care plans are aligned with client requirements
  • Assist in resolving complaints, incidents, and problems as needed, providing guidance to caregivers when necessary
  • Oversee the maintenance of accurate logs for new, resumed, discharged, and denied cases, ensuring compliance within the department
  • Run various daily and weekly reports to check for any discrepancies or errors, and ensure the necessary corrections are made
  • Monitor adherence to company policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Excellent in customer service, problem solving and multitasking
  • Demonstrated experience in scheduling, able to create and manage complex schedules with multiple variables.
  • Expertise in multi-task scheduling, able to balance staff needs with operational requirements.
  • Strong background in administration, capable of managing various tasks and responsibilities concurrently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
