This role is the communication hub between patients, caregivers, nurses, and office staff — ensuring every visit is scheduled efficiently and every patient receives excellent support. The Home Health Office Scheduler coordinates all referrals including notification of insurance providers of prior authorization and service coverage; schedules patient visits according to care plans, verifies timesheets with schedules, prepares missed visit forms to physicians and managed care organizations; and assists management in day-to-day staffing and other administrative support services. Requirements High school diploma or GED equivalent Prior medical front/back office, medical assistant, home health agency or central scheduling experience Microsoft Office and scheduling software computer skills Knowledge of medical terminology and strong data entry skills Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills Process oriented, meticulous attention-to-detail, and ability to work as part of a team in a high-energy, team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
The coordinator manages staff and client schedules to ensure all patient needs are met daily. They handle referrals, insurance authorizations, and administrative support for management.
