Acts as a liaison with the Manager and Scheduling/Registration Specialists. Coordinates daily activities within the Scheduling/Registration department to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency. Provides feedback to the manager for human resources functions such as hiring, coaching, and counseling. Efficiently and accurately gathers and inputs patient demographic information, verifies insurance/authorization, and schedules, reschedules, or cancels multiple diagnostic and interventional procedures. Accurately communicates preparation instructions, arrival time, and location to patients. Inputs and distributes charge management processes on a daily basis. Maintains regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable federal, state, and local standards. Ensures compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Qualifications Education/Training High school graduate or equivalent. Medical terminology and/or basic anatomy training required. Licensure/Certification None. Experience Six (6) years’ experience in clinical registration or scheduling. Associate degree in business, information systems, clinical field or related field may be substituted for four years of experience. Bachelors degree in business, information systems, clinical field or related field may be substituted for six years of experience.
