$65,000 PER YEAR GENERAL PURPOSE The purpose of this position is to produce initial and update existing schematics, impacting the direction of sales for the company. This will be accomplished through analysis of existing and proposed schematics. This work will ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time to help maximize sales and enhance our customers shopping experience. This person will be responsible for utilizing POS market data, analyzing and optimizing information and measuring results and understanding implementation. This person needs to be a detailed team member and drive innovation while providing excellent customer service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES · Develops initial layouts for new stores and remodels · Verifies accuracy of information, including: UPC, Harmons ID numbers, description, unit of measure, case pack, and dimensions of product · Works closely with the vendor partner community to ensure that only fact-based information is used in the development of product mix and that it matches the demographics of the multiple size sets required for different store formats · Updates existing schematics in a timely manner · Uses POS feedback from store and distribution center movement · Performs analysis of individual schematics while considering product ranking by movement, sales and profitability · Identifies traffic builders, non-performers, cart builders · Performs schematic comparison when new schematics are developed and introduced · Works with category managers and assists them in analyzing the overall performance of their categories and the sets, providing them with schematic performance information · Create breakouts for broker request for setting schematics · Map out stores with construction team for shelving and fixture placement · Communicates and follows up with Sales Directors for layout, new sets, new items, layout changes, discontinued list, and schematic changes · Create and manage folders for each schematic being changed · Sets a professional and positive example to others · Ensures company standards for accuracy, integrity and productivity are maintained · Follows established company policies and procedures · Helps contribute to the success of Harmons as a whole MARGINAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES · Performs other job-related duties as assigned NATURE OF WORK CONTACTS · Consistent and daily interaction with schematics team, vendors and support staff TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. A high school diploma or GED required, and college education are preferred; five years of grocery or related retail merchandising experience preferred; or any combination of education, experience, and training which provides the following knowledge, skills and abilities: · Significant retail experience, with a minimum of 2 years retail management with an emphasis in department merchandising/management · Prior merchandising, promotional and display experience · Broad knowledge of center store and related products · Experience analyzing consumer research data · Ability to read and create a store schematic and be good with detail · Basic math and computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Space Management Software · Ability to view the changing dynamics of the grocery industry · Must possess solid communication skills, including verbal and listening skills in order to effectively and efficiently communicate with and advise diverse groups of people · Ability to appropriately and professionally handle conflict · Must possess the ability to accept constructive review and be accountable for one’s own success as well as the success of your team · Required to make logical, significant decisions using general, recognized analytical skills and techniques · Must possess integrity, a positive attitude, be mission-driven, and be self-directed with a demonstrated passion for Harmons’ mission and commitment to working collaboratively · Continually strives to be product minded, customer minded, personnel minded, detailed, forward focused and consistent PHYSICAL/SENSORY DEMANDS: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
