Job Title: School Accountant, Full-time  Reporting to: Principal Location: St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School | Naples, FL Classification: Salaried/Exempt    Overview The School Accountant supports the school Principal and is responsible for the overall accounting operations for the school.   Job Responsibilities * Prepares, administers, and reviews the school budget. * Generates and presents monthly financial reports for the school finance committee. * Establishes a responsible cash flow management system. * Manages school tuition system (FACTS), including billing, collections, and all aspects of tuition assistance (scholarships: private and state funds). * Work closely with parents regarding tuition and fee payments. * Records deposits into QuickBooks. * Process payments for approved invoices. * Reconcile credit cards and bank statements. * Acts as school liaison with the Diocese in financial matters and human resources issues, attends relevant Diocesan meetings. * Maintains accuracy of all financial files and records. * Coordinates parish liability and property insurance, worker’s compensation. * Submits payroll bi-weekly following Diocesan policy. * Keep payroll records including status changes, time off requests, holiday pay, correction of time input errors. * Any other duties as assigned by the Operations Director, and/or Principal. Qualifications * AA or BS degree in Accounting or Business Administration required. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar position. * Knowledge of QuickBooks * Excellent communication skills, both written and oral * Understands importance of maintaining confidentiality. * Able to handle multi-task simultaneously and work independently. * Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (word, power point, excel). * Must be able to pass the DOV accounting assessment test.   For eligible employees we offer: * Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, short and long-term disability. * Paid time off. * Generous paid holidays and holy days in a calendar year.
