Bass High School is a comprehensive secondary school located in South Western Sydney, with an enrolment of approximately 870 students. The school is supported by Resource Allocation Model (RAM) Equity funding and proudly reflects the diversity of the community it serves, with approximately 70% of students from non-English speaking backgrounds, including approximately 450 EAL/D (English as an Additional Language or Dialect) learners. The student population also includes a growing number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) students, as well as students enrolled in the school’s Support Unit, which caters for those with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, as well as autism.
Bass High School maintains a strong culture of high expectations, underpinned by innovative and evidence-based teaching practices and a sustained commitment to professional learning. The school offers a balanced mix of early career and experienced teachers who work collaboratively to deliver a broad and inclusive curriculum that meets the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of all students.
The school community is actively supported by parents and carers through a dynamic Parents and Citizen’s Association and a dedicated Community Engagement Officer.
