Are you looking for a rewarding administrative role in a warm, welcoming school environment? Veritas is exclusively representing school in Burnley, seeking an enthusiastic and proactive School Administrator to join their dedicated team. This vacancy arises due to the upcoming retirement of a valued colleague, and we’re looking for the right person to step into her shoes.
Start Date: September 2025 (Ideally mid-July for a brief handover)
Contract: Temporary to permanent
Location: Burnley
Pay Scale: Grade 4 (Scale Points 4-6) - £24,404 to £25,183 FTE
Hourly Rate: £12.65 to £13.05 (subject to LCC pay review)
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 3:30pm, Term Time Only + 5 INSET days

    Veritas Education work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

You will be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, and visitors, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the school runs smoothly each day. From managing calls and emails to supporting day-to-day operations, this is a varied and rewarding position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing the school reception area and welcoming visitors
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries professionally
  • Maintaining accurate pupil records and supporting attendance processes
  • Using school systems and Excel for administrative tasks
  • Supporting the wider admin team with general office duties
