The Lebanon YMCA is seeking energetic, responsible, dedicated employees to fill our before and after school childcare positions for Cornwall Elementary School, South Lebanon Elementary School and Northern Lebanon School District. Morning shifts begin at 6:30-7am until school begins and afternoon shifts begin at 3:15-3:30pm until 5:30pm.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
- Assist with homework and provide tutoring as needed
- Maintain open and effective communication with parents/guardians
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the childcare facility
- Implement appropriate discipline techniques when necessary
- Collaborate with other childcare providers to create a positive and inclusive environment
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelors degree or 2500 hours experience working with children, preferably in a daycare or educational setting
- Knowledge of school aged education principles and practices
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques
- First aid and CPR certification
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Passion for working with children and helping them learn and grow
