BBIS has an opening for a School Assistant Primary School (f/m/d) Part-time: 33,75 hours per week Start date: 01.08.2026 Contract duration 1 year / limited until 30.06.2027 Weekly working hours: 07:45 am until 3 pm Salary range: €25.232,67 - €29.296,00 gross/year (based on 33,75h, and on experience/qualification) YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES Learning and Instructional Support Collaborate effectively with homeroom teachers, single-subject teachers, support services, and external specialists to facilitate and support children's inquiry, exploration, and learning. Actively support student learning and participation in the classroom and during various activities. Assist in the documentation of learning and participate in regular reflection on teaching practices. Ensure the learning environment is child-centric, honoring and supporting the unique needs of all young learners. Supervision and Environment Maintain supervision of students at all times to ensure their safety and well-being. Regularly accompany children outdoors and actively participate in outdoor learning activities. Implement and use effective and consistent behaviour management strategies in line with BBIS policies and expectations. Teamwork and Professional Conduct Work effectively as a positive and open-minded team member with colleagues from various disciplines. Uphold BBIS values by respecting individual differences and cultural diversity. Attend required meetings punctually, prepare appropriately, and contribute actively. Be prepared to provide substitution cover at the discretion of the Principal. YOUR QUALIFICATION A relevant pedagogical education or equivalent qualification. Proven experience working with children. Demonstrated knowledge or experience with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) or strong evidence of an international educational interest. Demonstrate an awareness of the complexities of language acquisition within the multinational environment of an International School. Highly collaborative, self-motivated, and confident, utilizing excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with all community members. Committed to using professional competence and enthusiasm to positively contribute to the school's educational environment. Hold the necessary valid work and residence permits.
