SequelCare is currently seeking candidates for the School Based Counselor position in the Palm Beach County School District. Job Summary: The School Based Counselor is responsible for providing mental health assessments, diagnosis, interventions, treatment and recovery services to students with mental health or co-occurring substance abuse diagnoses and students at high risk of diagnoses. Coordinates care with school personnel and other providers to ensure the provision of effective and appropriate services. Participates in quality improvement and quality measures as required ensuring all assigned client records are complete reflecting all services provided. Job Requirements Master’s Degree in the field of clinical social work, mental health counseling, psychology or related field. Valid FL license in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Family Therapy strongly preferred Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders and Medicaid documentation requirements Two years experience working with children and families is preferred Benefits Comprehensive benefits package Paid parental leave Educational Assistance Program Sequel Youth and Family Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer
