AAPSA has immediate openings for hourly registered behavior technicians in our Applied Behavior Analysis program! Supervision and on-site training is provided! This is an amazing opportunity for individuals looking to enrich the lives of children and families struggling with Autism and to make rewarding and meaningful connections with clients! $26-$28 hourly! We are looking for a bright and motivated individual with a desire to work directly with a child on the Autism spectrum to provide services in a school setting in the Binghamton School District. All training and supervision in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is provided. ABA is an intensive behavioral therapy and a science-based approach designed to change the lives of individuals on the spectrum. As a registered behavior technician your role is to encourage and support independence in communication, social skills, and daily living by implementing treatment plans developed by a Board Certified Behavioral Analysts. This is a part-time position and hours will be based on a typical school day. Applicants must have reliable means of transportation and a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Physical activity is involved and you must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. This position is a great learning opportunity for individuals interested in careers in education, psychology, human services, occupational therapy, physical therapy, nursing, and speech/language therapy. Previous candidates in these positions have benefited from the experience and the letter of recommendation that can be provided for application into undergraduate and graduate school programs.
