A K-12 school located in Joliet, IL, is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for the 2025-2026 school year. This contract position offers the opportunity to impact students emotional, social, and academic well-being in a supportive educational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to help students navigate social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized education and behavioral plans.
  • Conduct assessments to identify student needs and design appropriate interventions.
  • Address issues including bullying, social adjustment, truancy, and family-related challenges affecting students educational experiences.
  • Facilitate communication between the school, families, and community resources.
  • Support crisis intervention efforts and conflict resolution within the school community.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed School Social Worker in the state of Illinois.
  • Experience working in a school environment with K-12 students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage relationships with students, families, and school staff.
  • Ability to manage caseloads and maintain thorough, accurate documentation.
  • Familiarity with local community resources and services to provide relevant support.
